CAUSE CHRISTMAS HAMPER CAMPAIGN 2020

an opportunity to share our blessings

Dear Members of St Paulinus’ Parish Family,

I am sure that you are aware that many families, especially those with young children, are suffering great hardship, to the point of going hungry, during these challenging times. This makes our annual contribution to CAUSE Hampers even more crucial this year!

If you feel that you would like to help in any way, either by sponsoring a whole family or by providing festive food, toiletries, gifts or toys, I would be pleased if you would contact me on Tel. 07835132120 or email: maureen_mclean@hotmail.co.uk so that I can provide you with further information and be able to coordinate our response to this appeal, ensuring that nobody is left out. I feel sure that, as in previous years, your response to this appeal will be overwhelmingly generous.

Under normal circumstances, we help each other in our Faith Journey by regularly coming together to pray, to worship and share fellowship as members of Christ’s Body. Sadly, our ability to meet in worship has been curtailed and, with it, our ability to share fellowship. However, ‘all is not lost’! We can still be united in prayer for one another and united in working together to serve our brothers and sisters. God bless you and keep you safe.

GUISBOROUGH BRIDGE ASSOCIATION

Building up a flourishing local community

The BridgeThe Bridge is a work of the churches together in Guisborough. In these strange times of pandemic the Bridge has had to pause some of its work but has been striving to meet needs through Foodstop (Guisborough's food bank), and by shopping and collecting precriptions for vulnerable folk who are shielding.

As opportunity arises the Bridge is starting to find safe ways to once more work with young people, to overcome social isolation and connect people in a community of kindness and hope.

Our parish hopes to work yet more closely with our fellow Christians, as the Bridge finds more ways to bring loving kindness to everyone in our town and nearby.
